log in to database problems

I am new at this, so please bare with me. i have created my database and uploaded the files from php pro bid but when I try to get into it, i get the following messages
A mysql error has occurred whilst running this script
Could not connect to the database with the credentials you have submitted
Mysql Error Output: Access denied for user 'chrisalc_Julieos'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

any help would very much be appreciated

I have added the % sign in Remote Database Access Hosts. Please try to access the database with the correct database user name and password. If you are still facing same problem then please PM me with the exact steps or URL to recreate the error. So we will investigate your issue and give you reply asap.

Hi
deleted config file so i could start again
hostname - localhost
database name chrisalc_sellit
database user chrisalc_Julieos
database Password entered as it was created under database user
tables-prefix probid_sellit
It created the config file and then came up with the same error message wrong credentials, is there anything I am doing wrong or is it just me being thick?
