Thinking about this more unless one site ends up changing how they do things compared to another and it conflicts with your campaign then the more the merrier right? We never know what our visitors are using to get to our sites.

Absolutely correct. There hardly any point that I see currently with optimizing websites for Bing or Yahoo. Their algorithms are yet to reach the level as that of Google, hence if you optimize a site well for Google, you can definitely do well in other search engines.

I would concentrate on Google and Y! and Bing results may come.
Though on record for all the sites I've worked on for 15 years, Y! and Bing make up <3% of traffic even when ranking well in the key phrase on that SE.
Even if you rank very well on Y! and Bing, the search volume is considerably lower.

Personally I do not like Y! or Bing, I have solely used Google for many years now and it works for me, so why change? I like Google+ coming out but the downfall I see is within search result how many people will try to get that + next to their site name clicked enough times to cheat the system.

@ webmaster007, I had no idea that Russians use other search engines. I knew that the Chinese have restricted Google results to a certain extent, but I really didn't know about the Russians.

Google has a more advanced algorithm as compared to Yahoo and Bing. Generally, it is noticed that if the website has good rankings on Google, it automatically manages to get good rankings on Yahoo and Bing. Therefore, most of the website owners look to get good rankings on Google first. Sometimes, it is possible that even if the website manages to get good rankings on Google, it does not get good rankings on Yahoo and Bing. The reason for this is the difference in algorithm.

So how do we go about this? The same way you would with Google? I'm sure other search engines are important also so the more the better?

Should we focus on bing and Yahoo! too?
Everyone seems to be into the Google hype nowadays. However, other search engines such as bing and Yahoo! are offering good traffic too.
I was wondering if the Eukhost staff has checked the traffic statistics to see whether they get visitors/customers from other search engines than Google. I did a bing search on "uk web host" and Eukhost is on the second page.
