Do you think PageRank is the most important factor in Search Engine Optimization and SERPs?

My personal opinion is that In-page optimization is much more important than good page-rank, what's your opinion?

Page Rank is considered a very important parameter, but there are other factors which are equally important... For example: in-page optimization, the relevancy of the page content, the anchor text, the domain and page authority, link age...

The concept of Page Rank was withdrawn by Google last year and the rankings in the SERP's are no longer based on this factor (atleast this is what Google claims). Though most of the SEO experts still believe that the PageRank does affect to some extent.

But yes, as said by BritishFlag, the other factors play a vital role in deciding the ranking of a particular website for a certain term in Google SERP's.

Yes, Page Rank doesn't have any relation with SERPs. Its just a number that shows authenticity of your website.

Page Rank had quite a lot of importance in the past, however, it has lost importance now atleast in terms of search engine optimization as it has been found that website owners get a few backlinks for the website from some directories and other websites due to which they gain good page rank for the website and the search engine results are affected.
