Should I use Ampps to install WordPress?

    #2
Well, Ampps is a new software developed by Softaculous a stack of Apache, Mysql, PHP, Perl, Python and Softaculous. The features offered seems to be quite interesting, but can't give any opinions as I haven't used it yet. IMO, you should check out the demo given on the Ampps official website.

The best thing about Ampps software is that like dedicated server, it allows you auto install it on your desktop as well and permits to run the 215 scripts on your desktop. It allows you to auto install your favorite scripts like Wordpress, Joomla, Magento, etc... on your desktop.

Haven't used it personally, but after going through their website it actually seems promising to go with Ampps. The following line stated at the website encourages me to try it out
"AMPPS enables you to focus more on using applications rather than maintaining them.
I couldn't find reviews about the product, will need to test it out myself to check it working and performance.

@DavidF : Why don't you do the same as well ? It should be helpful for everyone on the forum.
