Thought I'd share a similar optimisation application I found today called Trimage for Linux distributions. For Ubuntu users, it's available in the Ubuntu Software Centre; for other Linux distributions it is available in the software repository for certain distributions
Teminal Commands
Ubuntu:
Code:
sudo apt-get install trimage
(Alternatively available in the Ubuntu Software Centre.)
Useful Mac OS X Application for Optimising Images - Recommended!
If you're running Mac OS X, there's an awesome application called ImageOptim which optimises an image post-creation, perhaps through Photoshop, and dramatically reduces the size of the image. For example, I made a few graphics in GIMP and some came out at 1MB I recall, and they were crunched to somewhere around 50KB - 100KB and they were as good quality as the originals too!
