Two-factor authentication is a safety mechanism that prevents unwanted people from accessing an account using pirated information.

I would suggest you, go with Google Authenticator App.

Yes. I have also tried this one. Google Authenticator is a software-based authenticator by Google that implements two-step verification services using the Time-based One-time Password Algorithm and HMAC-based One-time Password algorithm, for authenticating users of software applications.

          Some other Apps are:
          1. Authy: Easy to use, feature-rich and supports multi-device sync.
          2. Google Authenticator: A widely adopted standard across major websites.
          3. OTP: An open-source alternative that has more features than the competition.
          4. LastPass Authenticator: Similar to Google Authenticator, but works within the LastPass ecosystem.
          5. Microsoft Authenticator: Also similar to Google Authenticator, but works especially well with Microsoft services.

Do you all know, earlier hardware keys were implemented instead of software in the early versions of 2FA, and these hardware keys are still available today.

According to my experience, Authy is best. It is the greatest solution for most individuals because it includes the finest features of the other 2FA apps.

Yes, I would also suggest the same. Google Authenticator is an old tool of choice. It is reliable but still lacks some of the important specifications as compared to others.

Another advantage of these Apps is that they are all free of charge. We are not required to pay for their use.
