How to Add a Brand Indicators for Message Identification record in cPanel

In this article, we will show how to create a Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) DNS record with the help of the cPanel.

A BIMI record is nothing but a DNS record which points out a logo file. You can see this logo files in recipients inboxes along with the messages sent by you or an organisation. On the other way for recipients to help and detects and try to avoid fraudulent messages. However, BIMI also functions as it is a useful branding tool by prominently displaying your company’s logo in recipients inboxes.

Remember some points while creating a BIMI record:

  • Now create an SVG (Scalable Vecotr Graphic) file for your logo.

Follow these steps, to create a BIMI record in cPanel:

  1. Log into “cPanel Account”.

  2. Click on the “Zone Editor”, from the search tool.

  3. Search the domain, and click on Manage”.Manage
  4. Click on “Add Record”.

  5. Here, you need to create the BIMI TXT record with the following values:
    1. In the Name text box”, type default._bimi”.
    2. In the TTL text box”, select 14400″.
    3. In the “list box”, select “TXT”.
    4. In the Record text box”, type v=BIMI1; l=https://example.com/logo.svg. Replace example.com with your own domain name, and logo.svg with the URL to your SVG logo file.
    5. Once you are done, click on “Save Record”. BIMI TXT record
    6. Now, you need to test the BIMI record.
