How to Delete a Custom Error Page in cPanel

After you make a custom error page, cPanel creates a file in the domain’s document root with the filename as shown below:

error number.shtml

Once you create the file, it can be deleted using the cPanel File Manager.

Follow the steps:

1. Log in to cPanel.

2. Select the “Files” section under “File Manager”.

3. Find the domain’s document root directory “public_html” where you created the custom error page.

4. Delete the error number’s relevant file. Remove the 404 .shtml files if you developed a custom error page for the 404 Not Found issue, for example.
