How to Display “Login Failure Daemon” Status and Restart in WHM

In this article, we will explain how to display lfd status and restart it in WHM. WHM has authority over the lfd settings and allows monitoring login tries to avoid unwanted attacks, like brute force attack.

Let us follow the steps-

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Select “Plugins” option and click on the “ConfigServer security & Firewall” sub-option.

  3. You will enter “ConfigServer Security & Firewall – csf v14.18” page.

  4. Locate “lfd – Login Failure Daemon” section.
  5. Click on “lfd Status”.

  6. You can see the status as shown below.

  7. To restart lfd, you can find the second option “lfd restart” under “lfd status”.

  8. It will restart; you will get a message as shown below.
