This guide explains how to update the DNS records in cPanel. Users can update the DNS records for their domains from within the cPanel. However, this effect will only work if eukhost’s nameservers or private nameservers registered with eukhost’s IPs are being used.
Let us follow the steps:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the “Domains” section and click “Zone Editor.”
- If multiple domains are listed in your cPanel, select the domain name for which you want to modify the DNS zone. Alternatively, use the search bar to locate the desired domain.
- This section allows you to create new DNS records, such as A Records, CNAME Records, or MX Records.
- To edit or delete an existing DNS record, click the Manage link next to the record.
- If you want to remove a DNS record, simply click the Delete button.
- To update an existing DNS record, click the Edit button.
- Make the necessary changes, and click the Save Record button to finalize the update.
Please note that changes to name servers and DNS zones typically take 12 to 24 hours to propagate but may take up to 48 hours to fully take effect. Unfortunately, there is no way to accelerate the DNS propagation process. To minimise potential downtime, it is advisable to plan for propagation in advance.
After making DNS changes, it is recommended to flush your DNS cache to ensure your computer does not retain an outdated IP address.
