A web disk allows you to manage your website files by connecting to the server using external applications. In this article, we explain how to connect to a web disk using third-party software to access, upload, and manage files efficiently.
Follow the steps:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Select Web Disk under the Files section.
- Select Configure Client Access for the desired account.
- Choose your preferred connection type from the available menus.
- Select “Download Configuration Script” to obtain the configuration script.
- Save the file and store it on your local computer.
- If your system will not uncompress it automatically, unzip the
.zipconfiguration script file. - Search for the Secure WebDisk file with the hostname, which corresponds to your server’s specific hostname.
- Open the file and execute it to configure Web Disk.
This way, you can manage your website files directly from your personal computer by dragging and dropping files between your local drive and the website.
