How to Manually Back up a MySQL Database in cPanel

This guide will show you how to manually back up the MySQL database in cPanel.

Steps to be followed:

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. Click on the “Backup” option under the “Files” section.
   
   
3. Click on the name of the database under the “Download a MySQL Database Backup” section of the following dialogue to download it.
   
   
4. A compressed archive saving prompt will appear. Be careful to save the file on your hard drive in a secure location, ideally not on the same partition as the operating system.
