This guide will show you how to manually back up a MySQL database in cPanel.
Steps to be followed:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Click on the “Backup” option under the “Files” section.
- Click on the name of the database under the “Download a MySQL Database Backup” section of the following dialogue to download it.
- A compressed archive saving prompt will appear. Be careful to save the file on your hard drive in a secure location, ideally not on the same partition as the operating system.
