This post explains how to upload a file in cPanel using File manager.
Follow the steps:
1. Log in to your cPanel account.

2. Choose “File Manager” from the Files section on the home screen.

3. In the File Manager window, click the “Settings” icon.

4. Next, decide where you want to begin. We’re going to use “Document Root for:” for our website in this example. And you can tick the box for showing Hidden files.

5. From the icons at the top, choose “Upload”.

6. By selecting the “Select File” button, navigate to the file you wish to upload on your local computer.

7. Click “Open” after selecting the file.

8. When the file has finished uploading, click the link in the center of the screen to return to the folder where the file was originally saved.

9. We can now visit the file in a web browser and verify that it was posted to the correct location.
