How to Edit User Permissions for Databases in Plesk Panel

User privileges control what actions a user can perform within a database. Using the Plesk Panel, you can easily manage and update privileges for MariaDB database users to ensure the right level of access is granted.

Follow the steps below to modify database user privileges in Plesk:

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. From the left-hand menu, click on Databases.

  3. This will display a list of all operational databases within your Plesk account, along with related options.
  4. Click on User Management to view all active database users.

  5. Click on the username for the account you wish to modify.

  6. A user settings form will appear with various customisation options.
  7. Scroll down to the Privileges section, which is divided into:
    Data Access (e.g., SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE)
    Structure Access (e.g., CREATE, ALTER, DROP)
  8. Check or uncheck the boxes to set the appropriate permissions.
