This guide explains how to enable PHP error messages on a website using the newer cPanel interface. Displaying PHP error messages helps identify the exact issue during debugging or development.
Important: PHP error messages are displayed on the website, not inside cPanel. For security reasons, error display should be disabled on live or production websites.
Steps to Enable PHP Error Messages in cPanel:
- Log in to cPanel.
-
Navigate to the Software section.
- Click on MultiPHP INI Editor.

- Select your domain from the dropdown menu.

- Locate the display_errors directive.

- Set the value to On.

- Click Apply to save the changes.

That’s it! PHP error messages will now be displayed on your website whenever an error occurs.
