How to Manage Fail2Ban and its jails in Plesk for Linux

In this article, we have explained how to manage Fail2Ban and its jails in Plesk for Linux. It helps protect your server by monitoring and blocking suspicious activities, thus enhancing security.

Follow the procedure below:

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Navigate to Tools & Settings.

  3. Select the “IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban)” option under the “Security” section.

  4. Go to the “Settings” tab and check or uncheck “Enable intrusion detection” to turn Fail2Ban on or off.
  5. Click Apply.

  6. Switch to the Jails tab and enable or disable jails using the on/off buttons.
    Note: Jails can only be enabled when Fail2Ban is active.
