How to remove a certificate from AutoSSL

July 17, 2024 / SSL

This guide will illustrate how to remove a certificate from AutoSSL.

Your AutoSSL will automatically replace any certificate and apply certificates to the domains in the account if the “Allow AutoSSL to replace invalid or expiring non-AutoSSL certificates” option is set to “on.” Therefore, you should disable this option if you have many domains and plan to have some domains with SSL and some without.

Let us examine the process:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Locate the “Security” section and click on the “SSL/TLS” option.
    security>SSL/TLS
  3. Under Certificates (CRT), select the “Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates” option.
    generate,view
  4. Once you locate the domain name with the certificate you want to remove, scroll down. Click the “Delete” link on the right.
    delete
  5. After that, a message will appear asking you to confirm that you really wish to remove the certificate. To continue, click the “Delete Certificate” option.
    delete certificate
  6. When you receive a notification that it has been removed, you are done.
