How to Transfer Backup from cPanel to VPS

The following steps are as follows:

1. Log in to the cPanel account.

2. Select the “Backup” option from the “Files” section.

3. Click on the “Download a Full Account Backup” option.

4. You will enter into a new page.

5. Select the backup destination as “Secure Copy” SCP.

6. Enter the email address where you want to receive the notifications after completion. And if you don’t want to receive then tick the circle just below the option of an “Email address”.

7. Enter the IP address of the VPS under the “Remote Server” option.

8. Write the username of the account under “Remote User” and if this option is left empty it will consider it as the root user.

9. Give the password for the user account under the “Remote Password” option.

10. Enter the “Port” from your VPS information. You can also leave this option empty.

11. Provide the path for moving the backup files on your VPS under the “Remote Dir”.

12. And finally click on the “Generate Backup” button.
