In this article, you will find how to generate an API token using WHM. You can log in to the server without login credentials using API tokens.
Let us follow the steps:
1. Log in to the WHM panel.
2. Select the “Development” section from the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Then select the “Manage API Tokens” sub-option.
4. Select the “Generate Token” button.
5. Type the “Token name”.
6. Tick one of the two options regarding the expiry date.
- a) The API Token will not expire.
- b) Specify an expiration date.
7. Enter the whitelisted IPs if any.
8. Define the privileges that we want to grant to the third party.
9. “Save” the changes by clicking on the save button.
10. You will find that the API token has been generated.
11. It will ask you whether you have saved the token. So, click on the button “Yes, I saved my token”.
12. You will find the generated API token in the list.
