How to Choose the Right WordPress Hosting Plan for Your Business

October 11, 2024 / WordPress

As the leading global platform for building highly functional websites, WordPress’ reputation needs no introduction. However, its unique composition of different types of software (core, plugins and themes) working in harmony together can cause issues with performance and security, while making site management more complex. eukhost’s new, AI-enhanced WordPress Hosting plans have been designed to address these problems and provide a wide range of other highly useful features. In this post, we look at the key features of our WordPress Hosting and help you find the best plan for your business.

Next-gen WordPress Hosting

With over two decades in the web hosting industry, eukhost has vast experience with WordPress and the challenges it raises for our customers. We developed our first WordPress Hosting solutions many years ago and have been improving them ever since. Our new range of plans takes our solutions even further, making use of the latest technologies and best practices and offering the features that modern websites and their owners need in today’s digital landscape.

Our next-gen plans utilise WordPress-optimised, high-spec servers that are configured to deliver cutting-edge performance, security and ease of use. In terms of performance, our WP Accelerated suite of technologies ensures your sites always run smoothly. Features include static full-page cache, which cuts loading times by up to 80%; mobile-optimised cache, which boosts load times on mobile devices; and HTTP/2 Push, which accelerates delivery by a further 50% by pushing resources to the client. In addition, you’ll find performance enhanced through lazy loading, pre-caching, Google font optimisation, code minification, database cleanup and optimisation and more.

While security is a priority for all website owners given today’s sophisticated threat landscape, the array of software used in WordPress means software vulnerabilities are a particular issue. Our new plans tackle this head-on with the introduction of a Smart WordPress Updates feature, that proactively scans for outdated and vulnerable software. Security doesn’t stop there, however; we also include a one-click WordPress hardening tool that instantly applies best practice security configurations, while using the AI-enhanced Imunify360 application firewall to protect your site from malware and brute force attacks.

Our new WordPress hosting plans are also designed to make creating, updating and managing your websites much easier. With features like WP Toolkit, you can set up WordPress sites in seconds with a single click, manage multiple sites via a single dashboard, and migrate sites to eukhost with our WordPress Migration Tool. We also provide a Plugin & Themes Manager and a staging and synchronisation tool so you can develop your site safely without affecting what’s online.

WordPress-Hosting

While these and many other features are included in all our WordPress Hosting plans, the range of plans we offer is designed to cater for the needs of different businesses. In the next sections, we’ll look at these plans and their specifications in more detail so you can decide which is the best option for you.

WP Shared plans

As the name suggests, WP Shared plans are shared hosting accounts designed especially for WordPress. The first thing to mention here is that, unlike many shared hosting plans, at eukhost, we use technologies that prevent resource spikes caused by noisy neighbours. As a result, your website’s performance will be unaffected by other users on the server.

WP Shared plans are intended for those with smaller websites and who have smaller audiences. The starter plan allows you to create one website and 10 email addresses while providing a single CPU core, 1GB RAM and 5GB of fast SSD storage. The Hyper WP Essential, by comparison, enables you to run two websites and provides 2 CPU cores, 2GB RAM, 10 GB of SSD storage and 100 email addresses. Both plans come with free SSL certificates, daily backups with 7-day retention policies and WooCommerce compatibility. If you intend to build a WooCommerce store with lots of products, we would suggest a larger plan.

WP Shared Pro

WP Shared Pro plans are designed for businesses with larger or busier websites or for companies that run multiple smaller sites and require additional computing resources to cope with the greater demands. These plans also come with more email addresses, enhanced support and other features that growing companies may need.

The three plans in the WP Shared Pro range, HyperWP Business, Hyper WP Enterprise and HyperWP Premium, all build upon the features in the previous plans. All benefit from faster 4.1 GHz CPUs, with the number of cores ranging from 3 to 5, RAM from 3GB to 6GB and the number of allowed domains from 4 to 8. A key difference between WP Shared and WP Shared Pro is the storage, not only is this significantly larger, ranging from 25GB to 100GB; it also utilises NVMe storage, the latest and fastest form of SSD. With regard to mailboxes, HyperWP Business allows 200, while the two other plans offer unlimited email addresses.

Again, all plans come with SSL, WooCommerce compatibility and free daily backups, this time with 30-day retention periods. In addition, users get SSH and Git access. Enterprise and Premium subscribers also get premier support and a dedicated account manager.

WP Dedicated

The WP Dedicated range takes WordPress hosting to a completely different level, offering users all the benefits of their own WordPress-optimised dedicated server. These plans have been developed for businesses with expansive websites, like e-commerce platforms, that receive high traffic volumes or for companies that operate lots of smaller websites.

The HyperWP Dedi 6 Core E-2336 server comes with Intel Xeon CPUs, with 6 cores and 12 threads running at 2.9GHz base and 4.8Ghz boost. It provides 32GB RAM and 2 x 960GB SSD Raid 1 storage. One step up is the HyperWP Dedi 8 Core E-2488 server, with 8 cores and 16 threads running at 3.2GHz and 5.6GHz boost, 2 x 960GB SSD Raid 1 storage and 64GB RAM.

Both plans come with cPanel control panels, 25GB Acronis backup (upgradable) and CloudLinux8 OS. Unlimited mailboxes, free SSL and the ability to create up to 30 websites is included in the plans, together with Git and SSH access, premier support and a dedicated account manager. In terms of security, key differences with the WP Shared Pro plans include the addition of DDoS protection and access to the full Imunify360 suite for up to 30 users, rather than just the Imunify360 application firewall.

Conclusion

While WordPress is an exceptional platform for building a website, at eukhost, we have focused our efforts on developing solutions that help owners get the most out of their website while addressing the platform’s challenges by ensuring high performance, robust security and ease of management. Whether you run a personal blog or a global enterprise, we offer the solutions you need for all stages of your WordPress journey. Hopefully, you will now have a better understanding of which of our plans is the best for you.
